Most retreats on our calendar are led by independent facilitators who rent our venue. We carefully vet retreat leaders, but each sets their own curriculum, pricing, and approach. Review retreat details and contact organizers directly with questions. You can also rent the venue to host your own.

Yes! Spirit Camp is queer-owned and queer-celebrated. LGBTQ+ people and experiences are centered here while welcoming all.
We regularly host queer men's retreats, women's gatherings, and all-gender healing experiences. Most are hosted by independent facilitators who rent our venue and set their own approach.
Spirit Camp-led retreats (facilitated by co-founders Julian Cressman and Nathaniel Reagan) are intentionally queer-inclusive. Check our calendar for upcoming queer retreats or rent the venue for your LGBTQ+ event.

Spirit Camp is a substance-free space. We do not permit alcohol, recreational drugs, or cannabis on the property. This creates a safe, clear container for deep healing work. If you have questions about this policy, please contact us.

Many of our guests are first-time retreat-goers! Most retreats welcome all experience levels. Look for phrases like "all levels welcome" or "no prior experience required" in retreat descriptions. If you're unsure, contact the retreat organizer directly—they're happy to answer questions.

Spirit Camp features private cabins, seasonal luxe glamping tents, and shared accommodations depending on the retreat. Most retreats offer both private and shared options at different price points. Check with your retreat organizer for specific details.
Note: There are no attached bathrooms to any onsite accommodations. Communal heated bathrooms are steps away with private toilets and showers with hot water.

Spirit Camp is located in Little River, CA—just 12 minutes from Mendocino town and 1 mile from the Pacific Ocean.

Scenic route: Highway 1 coastal route is longer but beautiful
Detailed directions are provided upon registration. Some retreat organizers offer shuttle service or carpooling.

Pack comfortable layers for varying temperatures, personal toiletries, any medications, and items specific to your retreat (yoga mat, journal, etc.).

Cell service in Little River is limited and varies by carrier. Verizon and AT&T work well while other providers do not.
WiFi is available in common areas and some cabins for those who need to stay connected. Many guests choose to use their retreat time for a digital detox, but you're welcome to use devices as needed.

Mendocino's coastal climate is cool and often foggy, even in summer. Temperatures typically range from 50-70°F. Mornings and evenings can be chilly. We recommend layers and warm clothing for evening gatherings gear year-round. Your retreat organizer can provide seasonal packing guidance.

Most retreat organizers can accommodate common dietary restrictions (gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, etc.) when notified in advance. Spirit Camp is vegetarian and vegan friendly.
If you have severe food allergies or very specific dietary needs, discuss with your retreat organizer during registration to ensure they can accommodate you safely.
