Who This Retreat Is For

Into The Unknown is for anyone, all genders, 18 and up, who senses that the way they've been living no longer feels like enough. Maybe you've checked every box and cared for everyone around you, yet still find yourself longing for more presence, more wonder, more aliveness. No experience with yoga, meditation, or personal development is required; this retreat welcomes the curious, the burned out, the ones standing at the edge of a life transition, and those simply ready to remember who they are beneath the noise. If you're willing to explore, open to discovering something new about yourself, and courageous enough to take one step without having all the answers, you are welcome here.

Retreat Description

A Slower, Richer Way of Being

There comes a moment in many lives when routines, responsibilities, and constant notifications leave us craving something we can't quite name. Into The Unknown was created for that moment. Over three nights among the old-growth redwoods of Mendocino County, this immersive wellness retreat invites you to step out of the demands of everyday life and into a more intentional rhythm, one where silence, curiosity, and genuine connection have room to breathe again.

This is not simply a yoga retreat, and it is not reserved for experienced practitioners. Katie Hunt created this experience for curious people, those who feel called toward growth and are open to discovering something new about themselves. You do not need to arrive with answers. In many ways, that's the point.

What Each Day Looks Like

Mornings begin with movement and breath beneath the trees through Gentle Yoga suitable for a variety of experience levels, along with guided meditation and breathwork. Afternoons blend exploration and rest: forest healing walk beneath towering redwoods, a Beach Ceremony on the Pacific coast, Scheduled Silent Reflection, and nourishing meals prepared with care. Evenings come alive with candlelight, music, and conversation around the fire, including a Sound Bath, Group Hypnosis, and a Cacao Ceremony and Guided Dance that invites both stillness and celebration.

Woven throughout are Group and Partner Activities that turn strangers into friends. Expect moments of laughter, moments of quiet, and perhaps moments that gently challenge the stories you've been carrying about yourself for years.

An Invitation to Unplug

Technology has brought many gifts, but it has also made it harder to be fully present. Throughout this unplug retreat, you'll be invited to set aside the pull of notifications and endless to-do lists. This isn't about restriction; it's about remembering what becomes possible when you allow yourself to be fully here. Rather than promising quick fixes or dramatic overnight change, Into The Unknown respects the slower rhythms of real transformation. Change often begins by creating enough quiet to simply listen: to your body, your heart, your intuition, and the living world around you.

Why This Retreat Stands Out

Katie hopes you'll leave with far more than beautiful memories. Her intention is that you return home more grounded, more courageous, more connected to your own inner compass, and more willing to trust the unknown places life is inviting you toward, taking home friendships, renewed inspiration, and practical tools for everyday life. Among Northern California retreats, few settingsmatch the old-growth redwoods and rugged coastline of Mendocino, and few facilitators pair that landscape with such a varied blend of practices, from hypnosis and sound to ceremony and silence. Whether you're navigating a transition, recovering from the pace of modern living, or searching for a true meditation retreat and reset, this Mendocino retreat experience offers a rare chance to begin again.

This experience is perfect for those searching for: Healing Retreat, Yoga Retreat, Wellness Retreat, Silent Retreat, Nature Retreat, California Retreat, Meditation Retreat, Reset Retreat, Unplug Retreat

About The Retreat Facilitator: Katie Hunt

Katie Huntis the creator and guide of Into The Unknown. Her approach favors invitation over instruction: gentle movement, guided practices, ceremony, and honest conversation offered at a pace that lets each participant listen inward. Rather than positioning herself as the one with the answers, Katie walks alongside her guests, creating the conditions for reflection, connection, and self-trust to emerge naturally. Her retreats welcome beginners and seasoned practitioners alike, with no prior experience in meditation, spirituality, or personal development required.
