Retreat Description

A Northern California Yoga Retreat on the Mendocino Coast

Ground & Glow unfolds at Spirit Camp, a redwood sanctuary in Mendocino County—just a short drive from the historic town of Mendocino and within easy reach of the greater Bay Area. Over four autumn days, the land’s quiet wisdom meets a thoughtfully paced program that helps participants arrive, exhale, and reset. Mornings open with All Levels Vinyasa Yoga to awaken strength and mobility; afternoons invite softer practices—Restorative Yoga, Breathwork, Forest Healing Walk, and spacious time for reflection.

Daily Rhythm: Movement, Stillness, & Community

Each day balances enlivening asana with restorative stillness. Participants might greet the forest light with All Levels Vinyasa Yoga, then settle into slower practices—Restorative Yoga to soothe the body, Breathwork to steady the mind, and Forest Healing Walk to attune to the living rhythm of the redwoods. Unstructured time encourages wandering the trails, journaling in sunlit meadows, or sharing conversation by the campfire. Evenings gather in the Sanctuary for Sound Healing and Reiki, weaving vibrational journeys and gentle energy work that support deep release and recalibration—an intimate thread reminiscent of a Sound Healing Retreat.

Signature Ritual: Sunrise Beach Sauna & Ocean Plunge

One of Ground & Glow’s highlights is the Sunrise Beach Sauna on the coast—with the option of an invigorating ocean cold plunge. This elemental ritual awakens the senses and grounds the nervous system, leaving participants both calm and clear. Paired with Breathwork and reflective practices, it becomes a touchstone for resilience long after the weekend ends.

Nourishment & Rest in the Redwoods

Spirit Camp offers cozy lodging—heated cabins, private glamping tents (seasonal), and communal spaces that keep everyone close to nature. Shared, recently renovated bathrooms and welcoming gathering areas—the Lodge, Sanctuary, meadows, and forest paths—make connection effortless. Meals by Simone’s Kitchen are fresh, seasonal, and crafted to nourish body and spirit; mealtimes become a continuation of community, where stories and insights are shared around the table. Check-in begins Thursday, October 9 at 3:00 PM; check-out is Sunday, October 12 at 11:00 AM.

Purpose & Benefits: Grounding, Renewal, Belonging

Ground & Glow honors autumn’s inward turn—an invitation to release, reflect, and re-ignite vitality. Participants can expect a deeper connection to body, breath, and spirit; practical tools to ground during stress and transition; renewal through time in nature and community; restored energy supported by wholesome meals, restful sleep, and mindful practices; and lasting memories born of shared laughter, meaningful conversation, and transformative experiences.
