Yoga Meets Nature: A Retreat to Ground and Glow

From Thursday evening through Sunday morning, Ground & Glow invites participants to step away from daily routines and reconnect. Each day includes yoga sessions suited for all levels: energizing flows in the morning, restorative or meditative practices in the evening.

The rhythm of the retreat includes community meals, reflective time in the forest, and a sunrise sauna with an optional cold plunge. These practices complement the yoga journey, creating a holistic Mendocino yoga retreat where balance, presence, and renewal naturally arise.

Benefits of Practicing Yoga in Nature

Practicing yoga outdoors enhances awareness. The sound of wind in the trees, the scent of earth after morning fog, and the expansiveness of the coastline create a sensory field that supports mindfulness and breathwork.

Forest settings encourage reflection, helping participants slow down and notice their inner rhythms. Combined with the openness of the Pacific nearby, this setting transforms yoga into more than a practice on the mat—it becomes a way of relating to the living world.

This is why Spirit Camp is an ideal host for a sunrise yoga retreat California or a forest time yoga weekend—a place where nature and practice meet.
